Have just come back from Costa Rica which was amazing. I feel completely revived. Fantastic wildlife, wonderful people, beautiful landscape, I feel so privileged to have been there. We stayed in lots of different areas, San Jose, Arenal, Tango Mar and Manuel Antonio. It was so hot in the last two we were melting in the afternoon. I will do a bit of a review for the hotels so if you are wanting to stay there you might want to check them out. We didn’t stay in the cheap places but rather pushed the boat out!
Arenal – Arenal Springs Hotel – wonderful place, fantastic springs but a little bit cut off from the rest of the town. We didn’t have a car so were a little stuck!
Tango Mar – Amazing Hotel in beautiful grounds. We know this one was going to be remote and we were kind of stuck there but it was so worth it with wildlife everywhere….
Manuel Antonio – Si como no – fantastic view, easy to get everywhere with the complementary shuttle bus. Fabulous adult pool with great cocktails and a happy hour
We saw sloths, red macaws, all the different types of monkey, agouti, raccoons, and many hummingbirds….
